HK
Numbering System
|
HK has for many
years used a numbering system to name their firearms.
Lately, this numbering system appears to have been
abandoned. However, it does provide insight into
what HK used for many years and sheds light on the method for
that system. The system is not consistent and is not
used for all HK models.

| For
example, the HK91 is found by adding the 9 from the first
column with the 1 from the second column to determine model
designation. The HK53, 21, 23, 69, 79 among others are
numbered this way. The P11 pistol is not. The G11
is not. As you can see, inconsistent, but quite simple! |
